i wish more white Republicans, wether they’re Christians or otherwise, would stand up against these unresonable and immoral religious extremists and white nationalists who have inflitrated their party in massive droves and tell them that being conservative is not about that sort of thing. i honestly wish they’d stop doing the whole “don’t snitch” thing with these guys. They make white Christian conservatives look bad, and anyone not white who’s a Republican look like an idiot for being one!

What do we tell the old black guys who saw their’s killed and saw most cops trying to kick their becuz they were going to the library? The only nice whites they saw at that time were the ones who were hiding from other whites, becuz they helped blacks! And that bred a mentatlity of “if u aint helping me u hurting me”! I wish more whites would have spoken out so we could have had more reason to believe that most whites didnt agree with this! But people’s perceptions are their realitys!

As I said to another commentor, this is due to the commericalization of the music. Its become cookie cutter and unoriginal like mostly everything else in popular mainstream culture.
Hip-hop is no longer the voice of the people like it could have been and once was.
Also, hip-hop is quinessential post-modernist music, it started out with Djs and MCs taking tracks and mixing/remixing it. That is what hip-hop is. I think that there was more sampling back in the day than today.

Tupac Shakur was not the only one who ever had any meaning in his songs. Many other hip-hop artists have. However due to the commercialization of the hip-hop industry, the music has become cookie cutter and the content made acceptable to corporate interests and mass consumption.

How has slavery that ended 145 years ago, affected you personally? How do you feel about the thousands of Black slave owners? Only 1.4% or around 394,000 of the white population in 1860 actually had slaves. How do you determine which white people to hate? How do you feel about the 400,000 white Union soldiers who lost their lives to free the slaves? Which means that one white Union soldier’s life was given for each white slave owner.

Ah, but those statistics you speak of are total mortality rates which include deaths due to accidents, homicide, suicide, etc. If you remove those deaths and just talk about death due to heath related issues, then America far outshines all other cancers in cancer survival, heart disease treatment, etc. Example: A woman with breast cancer’s survival rate in the us is around 87%, in the UK it’s around 65%.

Nations that have longer life spans do so because of their lifstyles, not their healthcare. We have waaaay worse eating habits. Look at the survival rates of cancer patients in those nations and I’ll bet you my next paycheck you wouldnt want to get sick anywhere else but here! Preventative care does not start in your drs. office. It’s start when you choose to exercise and eat a salad instead of eating a hamburger and sittin on your arse watchin American Idol.
