Why Blogging is Important in Online Marketing |
A very productive way to increase your effectiveness with online marketing is by blogging. If you dont know about blogs and the power that they have on generating traffic, then this article will show you how to easily start generating traffic to your website.
Web logs (blogs) are often used as a newsletter to subscribers but can be used for almost any purpose.
You will also build your credibility and personal brand by using Blogging, as well as increasing your traffic.
Remember, people buy from those they like and trust so blogging helps us in developing a relationship with our online marketing prospects.
Search engine placement is another advantage of using blogs. You do need to include relevant keywords for this to work but is easy to do.
When potential prospects are looking into a business opportunity, they want to see regular, updated information and blogging will help you do this.
By providing them with new info youre staying connected to your prospects, and when and if they decide to purchase, theyre more likely to do that through you, especially if they feel a connection to you or feel they relate to you in some manner.
Blogging is easy on the budget also. Blogger.com allows you to start online marketing and set up a blog very quickly and for free!
Linking to your other sites within your blog is a must. At least one of these should be to your own personal page.
This will introduce the prospect to you and lets them see openly who you are and what you stand for. Again, this is very important for building a genuine, trusting relationship.
If you choose to use WordPress.com, be aware that they dont allow the use of blogs as a promotional site. So if youre using your blog as an online marketing tool, its likely to get shut down at some point. I know from my involvement in the Turn-key Marketing team that this has happened.
My advice would be to use a free blogging service when you start your online marketing. As your experience increases, you can then decide to stick with whats working for you, or switch to hosting your own blog.
One final note on blogging.
You are supposed to be blogging to give out information of value. So, when you do your posts, you want to keep them informative and not written like a sales letter. You want to inform the reader of certain aspects of your business and contribute to the relationships that you are forming with your online marketing skills.
