Social media marketing tools are no more optional today than being on the networks is – it is something that just has to be done. Relevant keywords and brand name mentions can also be monitored. The sum of it is that a tool is not an optional item on the social media plan of action.

USANA is not a scam. I know they were involve in some lawsuit a while ago where some former distributors accused them of running a scheme. These former representatives that sued them were absolutely misinformed. That’s all. We are not part of the company, so we have no incentives in telling you that they are not a scam.

One of the main reason why we like this company is that they have been around for a while. They started in 1992 and they are relevant still today. If anything, you have skipped the growing pain moments which each MLM company experienced in particular at the start up phase.

USANA markets wellbeing associated products. This is somewhat a positive. For the most part, joining health business is a positive. This is one the fastest growing industry now in the world. You get to make your share of money with USANA venture. There is also a downside to marketing health products. As I am writing this article, I can identify at least 10 Network Marketing companies out there now that are promoting some form of wellbeing product. Many MLM Companies are selling vitamins, minerals, antioxidants etc. I believe MLM companies should be selling products that are different.

In terms of the USANA compensation plan, it is very similar to some of the companies out there. You are to start building 2 legs. This is called the binary structure. The advantage of this is that you can get paid to greater and deeper levels.On the other hand, there is a drawback to the company’s binary compensation plan. There is a limit on how much sales quantity you can make money on in a certain period. I believe the amount you earn should be based exclusively on you and your team’s work. Limiting how much volume you can get paid on makes no sense to me even though, the extra payment is transferred to later date.

Can you make money with the USANA business opportunity? Absolutely you can earn a whole lot of money with them only if you learn a crucial skill.

What USANA will not tell you or teach you. Their training method is the only disappointing part of this business opportunity. This is not only common to USANA. It is also common to other MLM companies. They are still training the distributors the traditionally way of building their MLM business. They will instruct you to write out one hundred names of your family, friends and invite them to your home meeting or exclusive business get-together. They will teach you the 3ft rule. Off course you have to go to the weekly seminar and conference call.

What they will not teach you is the concept called “branding.” To really earn money with this enterprise, you have to develop into a brand. Ever wonder why someone like Rita Hui is the top money earner in USANA in relatively short period of time? It is because she is a brand. Even though she did it the traditional way, the fact is that that she falls in less than 1% of the total MLM professionals in the world. So where does that leave you and I?

How do you develop into a brand? You need to learn the skill of marketing. It is surprising to me that many MLM professionals fail to remember the word “marketing” in Network Marketing. Even those that remembers are marketing the wrong thing.So what should you market? In my opinion, USANA Inc. is doing a pleasant job of marketing herself. You have to market “You Inc.” People will engage in business with people. People will merge with your team not because of how good your vitamins or meal replacements are. Every other Network Marketing companies out there also have fantastic products. But they will join because of YOU.
